Englewood Market

Courtney is the creator of the Englewood Market, a well-attended, monthly community event. The market was started in the fall of 2022 and remains a highly anticipated night each month to this day. The Englewood Market offers an evening of fun, food and friends! The event allows 80 local small businesses a place to showcase their products to the residents. Guests enjoy 10 popular food trucks and can listen to live entertainment from local musicians. It started with just an idea and hope that some people would show up. With attendance in the 800 people range each month, the community shows up big to support the event.

Englewood RISE

Courtney is a founding member of a local 501c3 organization called Englewood RISE. Englewood RISE is a grassroots effort to bring revitalization, innovation, support and engagement to Englewood that was started in the summer of 2023. The organization currently serves its mission through community events and small business support.

 

Courtney has played an integral role in planning and executing RISE's 4th of July Bash, Northmont Homecoming Food Truck Rally and her personal favorite, The Englewood Holiday Trail & Tree Lighting.

 

"A group of four of us saw a need in our community. We felt we were missing things for families to do. We have a few events that happen, but thought what if we could expand on these? Let's take what is already happening and make it bigger. We have received amazing feedback from the community! The excitement RISE feels when we see people of all ages at one of our events, having fun with their friends and families, and creating memories. It makes all the work worth it!"

Englewood Arts Commission

Courtney joined the Englewood Arts Commission in the summer of 2023. Her current role on the commission is vendor chair. She works to coordinate all of the vendors for the Englewood Festival.
