About Courtney
Courtney Rietman is a long-standing Englewood resident, having lived here since 2012. She is invested in her community, creating the Englewood Market, helping to found Englewood RISE (a local 501c3), and serving on the Englewood Arts Commission. She was appointed to Englewood City Council in January 2024.
Courtney grew up in a suburb of Cincinnati, graduating from Milford High School in 2006. She attended the University of Toledo, earning her bachelor's degree in 2010.
A few years following graduation, she landed in Englewood, with her now husband, Jeff. After a career in veterinary medicine, Courtney decided to transition to staying home with her two children, Piper and Garrett, in 2019.
Courtney also volunteers her time at her children's school and is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Courtney and her family, which also includes their four dogs, cat and handful of hermit crabs, love spending time outdoors. Some favorites of the Rietmans include being near the water, watching movies on the back deck, and playing pickleball.

"I am proud to call Englewood my home. I think we have a safe and beautiful city. Englewood is full of great people I am happy to raise my children in such a wonderful community." -Courtney Rietman
